Description

The Adirondack Nonprofit Business Council (ANBC) is hosting their annual Peer 2 Peer workshops on the morning of Wednesday, March 27th at The Queensbury Hotel. Regional nonprofits are encouraged to come learn and connect with other nonprofits on important topics. This event features two "tracks" going on simultaneously, followed by a presentation on what every employer needs to know to comply with new harassment regulations.

Track 2 - "I Follow the Data" - Donor Tracking & Database Analytics, presented by Michelle Chandler, Crandall Public Library
 
Michelle Chandler is the Development Director for Crandall Public Library. She has been with Crandall since June of 2018. She will be discussing donor tracking and database analytics. 
 
Michelle holds a B.A. in psychology from Bay Path University, as well as a Master’s degree in Social Work from Boston University. Michelle started her fundraising career in 2007 as a Development Intern for a Child Welfare agency in Boston, MA.


There’s a New Law in Town: What Every Employer Needs to Know to Comply with New Harassment Regulations - presented by Gail Hamel, Hamel Resources

Did you know that all New York employers were required to have a Sexual Harassment policy in place as of October 2018? Do you know that all New York employers are required to provide annual Sexual Harassment training to all staff to begin no later than October 2019?
 
This session will provide participants with information to help ensure that they recognize the significance of new regulations and how to comply.
 
The following areas will be covered:
·     Understanding what is happening and why it is happening
·     Everything an organization needs to know to avoid liabilities 
·     What must to be included in Sexual Harassment policies
·     Requirements for training
·     Resources
