About Us

Southern Adirondack Independent Living (SAIL) is a nonprofit organization serving people with disabilities, older adults, and their families across 17 counties in New York State. We provide services including health insurance navigation, assistive technology and equipment loans, benefits advisement, advocacy, independent living supports, and community-based programs that help people live more independently.

SAIL is also a free resource for businesses, employers, municipalities, and organizations looking to improve accessibility and inclusion. We provide ADA guidance, accessibility consultations, on-site walkthroughs, staff trainings, and support with reasonable accommodations and inclusive practices. Whether you're opening a new space, updating an existing one, or looking to make your workplace more welcoming, our team is here to provide practical, no-cost guidance.
