FIRE INVESTIGATOR
 
Warren County Office of Emergency Services is looking to fill a vacancy for Fire Investigator. This position investigates the cause and origin of fires within Warren County. Responsibilities include investigating, gathering and recording/documenting evidence relating to assigned fire scenes. The work is performed in accordance with Warren County’s Arson Control Plan and under the general supervision of the Fire Coordinator, with considerable latitude permitted for the exercise of independent judgement in carrying out the details of the work. Performs related duties as required.
 
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS: Either:
  1. Five years of experience as a Fire Fighter; OR
  2. Five years of NYS law enforcement investigative experience
 
 

SPECIAL REQUIREMENTS:

  1. At the time of appointment and throughout the term of employment, possession of New York State Fire Investigator Certification, and
  2. At the time of appointment and throughout the term of employment, possession of a valid New York State Driver’s License.
 
SALARY: Annual salary is $5,413.00, to be paid quarterly.
