Security Guard- The Hyde Collection
The Hyde Collection is currently looking for a focused and responsible security guard to add to our team. Applicants for this part-time position must be flexible and able to work weekend shifts. Our experienced Security Guard staff will train and acclimate the right individual to the specific duties of the position. The ideal candidate will inspire respect and authority as well as possess a high level of observation. The goal is to help the museum to maintain excellent working conditions by keeping our art collection, facilities, patrons, and staff safe.
 
Job description
The primary objective of the museum security guard is to provide a high level of safety, security, and service for the art collection, museum, and for all members of the staff, volunteers, and visitors. To accomplish this goal the responsibilities of security personnel include:

• Loss prevention and control.
• Safeguarding employees, volunteers, visitors and museum property.
• Maintaining a cooperative relationship with all the members of the staff and volunteers.
• Adherence to all museum policies and procedures.

• Accountable for safety and security of the complex, including daily inspection of artwork, buildings and grounds; must report to administration all and any changes in the complex as they relate to safety and security.

• Practical experience in applicable skills and qualifications.
• Candidates must be reliable and punctual.

• 2 – 3 days a week which will include evenings and weekends.
   

• Shifts: 9:45AM – 1:00PM, 9:45AM – 5:00PM

• Glens Falls, NY: Reliably commute or planning to relocate before starting work (Required)
