DESCRIPTION:WEBINAR ACCESS EXTENDED UNTIL AUGUST 5\, 2021\n\n\n\nThe ARCC is pleased to host guest speaker\, Rose Miller of Pinnacle HR\, LLC\, to help educate businesses in our region on the impacts of the recently passed New York Health and Essential Rights Act (NY HERO Act).\n\n\n\nThe New York Health and Essential Rights Act (NY HERO Act)\, was signed into law on May 5\, 2021 by Governor Cuomo. \n\n\n\nThe law mandates extensive new workplace health and safety protections in response to the COVID-19 pandemic. The purpose of the NY HERO Act is to protect employees against exposure and disease during a future airborne infectious disease outbreak.\n\n *New York employers have until August 5\, 2021\, to adopt workplace safety plans\, in accordance with the NY HERO Act. \n\n*This new Act  changes NYS labor laws and it will impose substantial responsibilities on all private employers to provide and maintain safe workplaces for the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic\, and for all airborne infectious disease outbreaks in the future. \nThis session will review:\n\n\n	Important features and mandates outlined in the new law\n	Deadlines and other requirements under the law\n	Department of Labor templates\n	What employers need to do\n	Suggested next steps\n\n\n\n\nMeet our Speaker\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nRose Miller is President of Pinnacle Human Resources\, LLC\, a NYS #55656 and nationally certified Women Business located in Albany and Syracuse\, NY.
