\n\nWe will address some of the challenges of being a non-profit board member as well as offer tips that outline the responsibilities of a board appointment.
\n\n \;The governing board is the legal heart of every nonprofit organization. \;Knowing the fundamentals of the law of nonprofit boards empowers board leadership and nonprofit \;executives to act with maximum impact. \;

\n\nIn this presentation\, you will learn the core legal principles of governance documents and the relationship among them\, the legal duties of boards\, board members and officers\, when boards should - and shouldn'\;t - act\, the respective purviews of boards and executives\, who boards are accountable to\, and how all of the foregoing sets the stage for major board decisions and corporate lifecycle events.

A non-qualifying member is defined as any business and the employees or representatives with unpaid dues for membership of the \;ARCC.
