DESCRIPTION:The ARCC Women's Business Council (WBC) invites you to their October 2023 meeting where we will focus on Caregiver Support!\n\n\n\nAccording to the Alzheimer's Organization\, employees who work a 40 hour work week and are caregivers at home\, work an estimated 40 hours a week extra in their caregiving role. This impacts the wellbeing of the caregiver and also impacts the workforce.  In recognition of Alzheimer's and other dementias\, for the month of October the WBC presents an esteemed panel of experts to discuss local resources\, estate planning and how we can keep our brains healthy as we age.\n\n\n\nPlease join the Women's Business Council for a morning of education\, inspiration and connection!\n\n\n\n\n\nMeet our Speakers\n\n\n\n\n\nJessica R\, Botelho. Esq - Botelho Law\, PLLC - Jessica Botelho is an attorney and the owner of Botelho Law\, based in Glens Falls. Originally from Central New York\, Jess relocated to Glens Falls after obtaining a BA in Psychology from University at Albany and a JD from Albany Law School. Jess focuses her practice exclusively on elder law\, estate planning and estate settlement work. Her goal is to help individuals and families prepare for the expected and unexpected by providing customized solutions to estate and long-term care planning needs.\n\n\n\n\nRuth E. Fish\, RN\, C-FNP  - Ruth Fish is a Certified Family Nurse Practitioner who has over thirty-five years of experience in Internal Medicine\, Geriatrics and Long-Term Care.  Until recently\, Ruth practiced at The Center of Excellence for Alzheimer?s Disease at Glens Falls Hospital/AMHS which was designated as such by the New York State Department of Health to provide expertise in diagnosing and managing Alzheimer's Disease and other neurocognitive conditions.  Ruth is continuing her work with the Alzheimer's Center as Clinical Educator\, where her expertise with dementia is being amplified to professionals throughout northeastern New York.\n\nRuth obtained her bachelor's degree in nursing from the State University College of New York at Plattsburgh\, and her master's degree in nursing from the Medical College of Virginia at Richmond with a double major in Family Nurse Practice and Community Health.  She has extensive experience in developing training programs for health professionals.  \n\n\n\n\nHeather Hogan O'Connor - Heather is the Program Director for the New York State Department of Health's Center of Excellence for Alzheimer's Disease that operates out of Glens Falls Hospital's Neurology Practice. She has over 20 years of experience in healthcare and administration. She has worked for two regional health information exchanges that interconnect medical records and has been intricately involved in population health initiatives. Early in her career\, Heather worked in the pharmaceutical industry as a specialist in Neuroscience and Geriatrics.\n\n\n\nHeather is a graduate of Saint Michael's College with a bachelors degree in economics. There\, she participated in service activities that emphasized education\, and advocacy. She has a masters degree in business administration from the State University of New York at Albany. Heather has a great appreciation for projects that promote efficiencies and positive change for communities.\n\n\n\nIn her role at the Center\, with her clinical colleagues\, Heather leads the effort to promote the value of an early diagnosis\, and the need to support patients and families living with neurocognitive change. She facilitates healthcare education and works on quality initiatives designed to enhance the care of those with Alzheimer's Disease or other forms of dementia.
